WHAT is it?

• Alchemists believed the Philosopher’s Stone was both a physical substance capable of transforming anything into its highest form, as well as the knowledge of how to achieve an enlightened mind and spirit.
• The Stone represents the combination of all things and all opposites (Sulfur and Mercury, Male and Female, the Four Elements, etc.) By unifying these opposing forces, the Philosopher’s Stone is transformed back into First Matter.

HOW is it created?

• The theory is that it is created by the combination and unification of all 4 opposing elements (air, earth, fire, water) by completing the Seven Stages of Alchemy (“The Great Work.”)
