Several years ago, I had an experience that changed me forever. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what had happened. I wrote it off as a misunderstanding, possibly influenced by cannabis. But the more I replayed the moment in my mind, the more I realized it was something profound, something beyond explanation.
As I sought answers, I stumbled upon the term “kundalini” and the concept of a Kundalini awakening. I learned that such awakenings can arise through dedicated practices like yoga, kriya movements, meditation, and breathwork—or spontaneously, often triggered by injuries, particularly to the lower back or spine. Around the time of my experience, I had herniated a disc in my lower back. Could this have been the key that unlocked something dormant within me?
The deeper I delved into the subject, the more I unearthed a world of knowledge that felt both bizarre and deeply familiar. Concepts like chakras, prana, and lifeforce energy—ideas I had never encountered before—began to resonate with a truth I couldn’t ignore.
What struck me most was the universal overlap between seemingly disparate systems of thought. Yoga, Kabbalah, the occult, astrology, alchemy, science, and religion—these all seemed to point toward the same truths, viewed through different lenses. It was as though they were pieces of a much larger puzzle, all hinting at the same ultimate quest: the search for God, the search for the self, the timeless call to “Know Thyself.”
I fell down a rabbit hole of books, videos, and websites, eagerly consuming information and filling notebooks with highlights, notes, and sketches. The more I learned, the more I realized that these were the most important truths about existence—yet they were rarely discussed in the modern Western world. Why wasn’t this knowledge more accessible? Why was it often shrouded in secrecy?
The journey transformed me. As I unraveled the mysteries of the universe, I also discovered more about myself. About God. About the interconnectedness of everything. And as I pieced it all together, I felt a deep calling to share what I had learned.
That’s why I created Zenstructions—first as a blog and later as a YouTube channel. It’s a space where I document my experiences, share my discoveries, and build a resource for others who, like me, feel trapped behind the walls of ego but are ready to break through.
The name “Zenstructions” is a blend of two words: “Zen” and “Instructions.” It reflects the essence of what my blog and YouTube channel are all about. Zen, a state of profound inner peace and self-realization, represents the ultimate goal—finding your center, your truth, your connection to the universe. Instructions, on the other hand, signify the guidance, tools, and knowledge needed to embark on this journey of discovery.
Together, Zenstructions is my way of offering an “instruction manual” of sorts—a resource to help you explore these profound topics, uncover new truths, and ultimately find your own Zen. It’s about learning to quiet the noise, peel back the layers of ego, and step into the timeless wisdom of “Know Thyself.”
This platform is my way of teaching—a dream I’ve held in the back of my mind for years. Maybe this is my purpose: to go on this spiritual journey and take others along for the ride. Through Zenstructions, I hope to make these profound truths more accessible, to inspire others to ask questions, and to ignite the same sense of wonder and discovery that forever changed my life.
If you’re seeking answers—or even if you don’t yet know the questions to ask—I invite you to join me. Let’s explore the mysteries of the self, the universe, and everything in between, one step at a time.
